Indian Shrimp Export and US Anti-Dumping Duty: Issues and Challenges

Abstract
In the recent past, anti-dumping has emerged as one of the most litigious trade issues in the global market. The share of developing countries in total cases was ten percent at the beginning of 1990s and has increased to more than 50 percent at present. This paper examine the historical perspective of anti-dumping procedures and highlights the changes in the export trend, cultural shrimp productivity and issues of US Anti-Dumping duty on Indian Shrimp. This study revealed that U S Antidumping Duty, Countervailing Duty and Anti-subsidy measures have affected the Indian Shrimp Export.
